Molly Craven is a Clinical Research Associate at AlvaMed. She supports clinical research operations, study monitoring, and project management across early- and late-stage medical device and clinical programs. Molly’s work is focused on ensuring study integrity, data accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Molly’s qualifications and accomplishments include:
- Executing study start-up and site activation activities, including qualification and initiation visits, study staff training, and the development of study materials such as informed consent forms, trial master file content, and study brochures.
- Performing interim monitoring visits, reconciling electronic data capture (EDC) entries with source documentation, and generating follow-up reports and action plans.
- Maintaining and auditing Trial Master Files (TMFs) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with GCP and sponsor requirements.
- Managing communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment across sponsors, CROs, and site teams.
- Leading coordination of NIH-funded, multicenter clinical trials in neurology, managing training and oversight for a nationwide network of study coordinators.
- Developing and presenting analyses of patient recruitment and retention trends to multi-disciplinary steering committees.
- Overseeing IRB submissions, regulatory documentation, and ongoing study progress reporting for multi-site research initiatives.
Prior to joining AlvaMed, Molly held positions in clinical research at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Neurology Department and as a Researcher at the University of Glasgow’s Institute of Infection, Immunity, and Inflammatory Disease.
Her experience spans clinical operations, scientific communication, and cross-functional study leadership.
Molly holds a Master of Science in Immunology and Inflammatory Disease from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, and a Bachelor of Arts in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a Public Health Pathway from Connecticut College. She has completed certifications in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Biomedical Research, and Clinical Process Improvement Leadership through Mass General Brigham.
